Published in the News Tribune (Tacoma) on 1/6/2006.January 6, 2006 Grandpa,I talked about everything with you, I did everything with you, you taught me most all I know, you were my best friend and also my Grandpa. I will never stop missing you. So will Rachel and Diana your only great granddaughter you have known. I just want to give you a phone call, and I can’t. Someday I hope that I will see you in heaven.I don't know what to do without you, there is so much more I want to do with you.
Thank you for teaching me so much, I promise to grow a beautiful garden next year in honor of you. Each time I walk out in it I will be thinking of you, and I will pick you some flowers for your grave stone so you can look down and see how much I love you. I am sure Diana will help me a lot as I pass on to her all that you have taught me. I will also teach her how to fix that old boat and take her fishing this summer, maybe even give here your pole and use your tackle box if you don’t mind. I will also invite Uncle Lefty. I miss you sooooo much.ChristopherPs, I will make you proud some day when I hopefully get to be a grandpa. Christopher Smolko (Lakebay, WA ) crsmolko@earthlink.net
